TIS is a member of the South China International Schools Athletic Conference (SCISAC) which governs our middle school international athletic competitions and cultural exchanges. Each year, students in grades 6-9 travel to various cultural events and sports competitions throughout Hong Kong, China and Taiwan. They stay in homes with families and students from other schools.

TIS will be hosting the SCISAC Middle School Basketball Tournament from May 8-10, 2014.  Six teams will be competing and approximately 80 students will need to be housed from Thursday, May 8th in the evening until Sunday, May 11th in the morning. We are asking that you open your homes to these young athletes for three nights.

The itinerary for the event wil be as follows:

Thursday, May 8, 2014

• Teams arrive at TIS (1-2pm)
• First Round of Games 4:00-8:00pm
• 8:30 Students depart for host homes
• Dinner at host homes

Friday, May 9, 2014 

• Host family provides breakfast for athletes
• Full day of competition at TIS starting at 8am

Saturday, May 10, 2014  

• Breakfast at host homes
• Full day of competition at TIS

Sunday, May 11, 2014  

• Teams meet at TIS for departure process
