After raising a whopping 20,000 MOP for Caritas School in Coloane, the grade 5s presented a cheque to the principal and some of his students at a special ceremony yesterday in the Secondary Library. Caritas is a local school for children with special education needs and students from both schools have been developing close ties since meeting for the first time two years ago.
The grade 5 students wanted to raise money to help Caritas buy some much needed equipment and held a variety of fundraising activities over the last 6 weeks, such as a bake sale, face painting and a movie afternoon. Congratulations to the students and teachers of grade 5 for showing such great community spirit and truly making a difference for the students of Caritas School.
