Chocolate chip cookies, mango pudding, mac and cheese, pizza, hamburgers, fried rice…these are just some of the dishes on the menu for Fun in the Kitchen, a summer school cooking course for elementary-aged kids. Instructor Angela Marques has been teaching the students all about ingredients, kitchen utensils, how to use the stove and microwave, and general cooking techniques. During the down time while the food is in the oven, the kids learn about the new vocabulary they came across while making each dish, as well as arts and crafts and other fun games. The best part of the course though is being able to eat all of their delicious creations!
