The MPR was filled to capacity this morning as parents, teachers and students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 all attended the final elementary assembly of the school year.

Teachers who will be leaving TIS at the end of the year were honoured with special awards and touching videos to remember their time at the school. Fond farewells went to: Ms Jennifer Lee (PK-2), Ms Maisie Tang (SK-2), Ms Linda Li (Mandarin), Ms Judy Fung (Elementary PE), Ms Louise Phinney (Curriculum Coordinator), Ms Jiami Chi (Mandarin), Ms Linda Martin (Gr. 2-4), Mrs Sandi Reis (Gr. 3-1 & Div 1 Coordinator), Ms Kelsey Daignault (Gr. 4-1), and Ms Chyrelanne Kuipers (Elementary ELL).

Kindergarten Coordinator Ms Karen Holmes will also be leaving TIS on a full time basis, but will be back in the fall and spring to help with the Kindergarten program.

Many thanks to Ms Phinney who produced all of the wonderful videos, Ms Reid and Mrs Stribbell for coordinating the final assembly and also being such great MC’s, the grade 4 classes for their beautiful rendition of Thank-you for the Music, the IT staff for providing tech assistance and the many parents who attended the assembly and showed their support.
