Experiencing Disability Event at TIS

The TIS Volunteer team is made up of a vibrant student body in Grade 10-12. These motivated young individuals work across the school to establish links between the TIS student body and the Macao community. The volunteers see the importance of Inclusion of Persons With Disability in society. This week, the team worked with Grade 5 and 6 students so that they could experience some of the daily challenges faced by people with disability. Student’s experienced what it would be like to have a visual impairment, speech impairment, physical disability and dyslexia. Set up as a interactive learning event students gained an understanding of the added challenges PWDs.
