We could not have asked for better weather on the first Community Day of the year! It was great to see so many parents, students and teachers at the event – the turn-out was very impressive!
Community Day is always a team effort and wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of so many people. Many thanks to the Community Outreach Committee for organizing the entire event, TISPA for the delicious BBQ and vendor booths, the Filipino dance troupe organized by Ms Maria, Ms Valenti and her husband for running a magic table, the ELL students for operating the wonderful carnival-themed booths, Ms Wilson and her students for making posters to advertise the event, the Mandarin teachers for running fun games and activities, the Middle School Leadership Club for organizing the “Soak the Teacher” activity (and to the teachers who volunteered to be soaked!), the facilities crew for their help with set-up and takedown, and the the elementary students who created the bunting that really made the carnival theme come alive.
Mark your calendar for the next Community Day on Saturday, March 11!
