For the students of the grade 12 graduating class,  Friday, May 27th was a day they will not soon forget.

Families, friends, TIS teachers, staff and other special guests gathered at MUST Auditorium to watch the Class of 2016 receive their Alberta High School Diplomas.  Congratulations to all of our graduates and to the award winners:

Governor General’s Award – Lynn Lee

The Patrick Mitchell Community Citizenship Award – Jessica Ma

The Neil P. Johnston Fine Arts Award – Viviana Gomes

Macau Government Lotus Award for Academic Excellence: Lynn Lee and Sam Koutsouridis

Spirit of Canada Award – Sophie Wu

Special thanks to MC’s Jessica Ma and Coco Chiang who did a wonderful job as the MC’s for the ceremony,  Jimmy Lee (Class of 2012) who was the guest speaker, and to Coco Chiang who delivered a memorable valedictorian speech.

After the ceremony ended, the celebrations continued at the JW Marriott Hotel where everyone enjoyed a banquet and some great entertainment by the graduates.
