After months of preparation, the day finally arrived – graduation! Dressed in ceremonial caps and gowns, 52 TIS graduates walked across the stage at MUST Auditorium on Friday, May 24 to receive their high school diplomas. Congratulations to the award winners: Jonathan Chan (Governor General’s Award), Mike Chiang (Patrick Mitchell Community Citizenship Award), Alex Chan (Neil P. Johnston Fine Arts Award) and Bowen Liu (Spirit of Canada Award). Valedictorian Priscilla Teo gave an impassioned speech to her classmates and Mr. Lauchlan delivered a memorable speech as the evening’s guest speaker. Many thanks to Kylisha Kiat and Madison Kern for doing such a great job as MC’s. The ceremony was followed by a banquet at Macau Tower, where the grade 12 students planned the entire program which included performances and tributes to the grade 12 teaching staff.
