Preparing TIS Students For The Future

The Alberta curriculum of studies continues to rank among the best in Canada and the world. TIS’ excellent results on the 2012 PISA test (Program for International Student Assessment) show the effectiveness of the Alberta curriculum and the teaching strategies that we use. Dr. Clive Hickson, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Student Services with the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta, also has high praise for the curriculum and its reputation around the world. Mr. Hickson visited TIS recently to meet with the seven student teachers who are doing their practicum at TIS. Click here to hear his remarks.
Dr. Hickson also says that students who graduate with an Alberta high school diploma tend to be better prepared for university, thanks to the rigorous diploma exams they write in Grade 12. Click here to hear his remarks.
