TIS continues to recruit high quality teachers. It is important to us that teachers have experience with the Alberta curriculum. As student enrollments increase, the number of teachers increases. During any given year, about half of the new hires are due to expansion and half are teacher turnover. Teachers are hired based on their ability to teach effectively, their familiarity with the curriculum and their ability to develop relationships with students, parents and the community.
We continue to maintain a highly skilled faculty from a variety of countries while still maintaining the necessary Canadian experience and expertise to meet our curricular demands.
